WindEnergy Hamburg 2016 moves further ahead as the global business platform

WindEnergy Hamburg has come to a close with highly positive results – international visitors and exhibitors from all parts of the world, numerous reports of successful business deals, and development of new markets. The world’s leading expo for wind energy was even more international than the first WindEnergy in 2014, with some 35,000 trade visitors from 48 nations coming to Hamburg. The percentage of visitors from abroad rose to about 40%, and the percentage of international exhibitors to 44%. “It could not have been better. The success reports of our exhibitors are simply amazing. Many of the companies have done extensive business at the expo,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. “Hamburg, the capital of the wind industry, not only hosted the world’s biggest wind industry meeting ever, but also provided the ideal conditions for further development of the industry. The international wind market will grow by a great many megawatts in the follow-up to this expo.” WindEnergy Hamburg was held for four days, from 27 to 30 September, with some 1,400 exhibitors from 34 nations presenting their innovative products and services for the onshore and offshore sector in 9 exhibition halls.
